WH0 WE ARE

We are people, Just like you, who have been touched by Life and Loss. We have witnessed Our Loved Ones, losing the lives of children, young and old adults to Cancer and through that tragedy, travel down a path the affected change, significant change and the opportunity to do something positive about a scourge that is overtaking our society. Cancer and its adverse impact. The small things that we do on a daily basis matter. We all matter and we all can influence change.

Each year our Gala has evolved. Underscoring the grass roots approach we are taking to raise money for Cancer research, information and heightened awareness are key and central goals to our effort. Each year, reality reveals that we as a society, are losing ground against this horrific disease and its grasps on our lives is rapidly becoming more normalized. Many of the contributors to this reality are environmental. Recognizing this fact, gives us tools through knowledge that allow us to battle the normalization of this environmental / social crisis. We all can help. We all can participate in this fight. Encouraging your participation on this journey, May 7th, 8th and 9th, in Pittsburgh, beginning at the Cambria Hotel downtown with a cabaret style event featuring Artistri; Friday returning to the Pittsburgh Winery on Penn to groove with the Bill Henry Band; and the highlight will be Saturday's GALA event at the August Wilson African American Center. Our focus is to highlight our grass roots efforts to effect change in the area of cancer research. Information and participation are key. The catalyst event for our effort is spiritual and inspiring as tragedy was turned into triumph. The links to the story are below. We invite you to read and understand that cancer, a word for a condition once rare, once whispered in fear, unfortunately has become normalized as as many as 50% of us may now personally expect to be touched by this horrific condition. This is an unacceptable reality. Our fundraiser is designed to give each individual a voice in this fight. Please take some time to read about the Journey we have taken. Join our efforts to battle this scourge, Not accepting it as a "Normal" part of Life. We Battle Cancer through Grass roots fundraising targeting to support research that is making a difference. Our event, facilitates this, "4 the Love of The Dance".
